Just started a new job tramping and the underbunk fridge is not working properly, the temp stays at 13 and there is a picture of a themometer blinking next to it. The light on the front is green, i can hear it working and it will let me use the + and - to change the temp but it goes straight back to 13. Anyone know how to sort it out or is it a job for volvo? Cheers

open it up and feel the sides if there’s some ice there it’s working
soumds like the compressor is knackered. We’ve had a couple changed under warranty
It shouldn’t let you set it to 13. I’ve not a lot of experience of volvo fridges but I think when you press the buttons it’s the set temperature and after a few seconds it will display the actual temperature. So it should come down to what you’ve set.
the 13 is the temp inside the fridge. When you press the + or - buttons it will set the desired temp. The display will then revert back to the actual temp (13 degrees).
I run mine at 3 or 4 degrees. It can often take a few hours for it to get down to the desired temp, especially if you’ve got a lot of warm stuff in the fridge.
If the light is green then there shouldn’t be a problem. It turns red should there be a fault. as far as the display goes it will adjust down however then revert back to the current temperature. If you open the lid, the side nearest to the drivers seat should feel cool/cold after a while.
This is for a FH4 or 2013 model.
Just had a look again and there was a thick wall sectioning off part of the fridge and the side closest to the driver was cold but the passenger side with my stuff in was warm so i have taken that wall out now and it has dropped down to 11 already, what ever that wall was made out of must of been good stuff because i have been running the fridge for 3 days and its not gone below 13.

The wall section is a freezer/fridge partition and you can move it into various places. If the fridge side hasn’t warmed up though it sounds like an issue.

Alrite, ill see if with the wall out the freezer side chills the whole thing enougth to keep things cold but if not ill try get it sorted next time im in the yard.
