well my hat goes off to him for owning that truck… Funny i can remember it when Roff got it brand new stunning truck
I drove it for 2 years all over europe and scandinavia. I loved it. Never had a truck that pulls like that one, it has 527brake nothing used to out pull it. Nothing.
NB12:
Not sure of dates but i think the FH16 & FH12 were launched at the same time. Newest F12 Globetrotter i think iv seen was V.G. Mathers had a late one with a funny air kit on it, an L reg(if not an M).Nice but get the supersingles off the front and try to find a volvo vertical exhaust, the one that went in a 45* angle before going vertical with the heat sheild on the lower bit.
Oh and the 470 power graphics/stripes. Or 500 ones maybe?.
The f12 was launched in 77, the 16 in 87. when they launched the 16 the 10and 12 got a face lift aswell.

Hope this one is of some interest?
Would love to know what happened to it and if it ever had a second life?A non regular driver drove this up Bunny Hill in Notts and went straight to the quarry to load but weighed in at 38 tonnes. He did not even know it was loaded…
That particular trick had been done a few times (no name, no pack drill) by regular drivers at K & M Hauliers (from Hucknall, Notts.) whilst I was there. Just turned up that morning without the ‘grey matter’ (!)

Now that’s a good question, the answer is not too much done so far I have fitted a new pair of batteries and ordered a new exhaust from Volvo, after fitting the batteries I chucked the bosses trade plates in it and went for a short drive
The main problem is my hobby!! between now and October I race a motorbike and that takes up about one in three weekends racing and another prepping the bike for the next outing!!! Add to this that I’m a ‘lazy bar steward’ and you might appreciate the slow nature of progress re my F16. I’m hoping to get the chassis blasted and painted before the end of July, and the cab exterior finished by the end of October. Watch this space
