Volvo F10,F12,F16

woodcutter:
To be fair, the ERF is a better looking unit than the F10/12.

I ve gotta say the Erf with the twin splitter n ■■■■■■■ went like a dream and the driver I had on it at the time wouldnt touch the Volvo (strange lad)

VOLVO F12

A most unusual machine, I clocked it in 2000, coming out of Kidds transport yard at Lancaster,

I remember seeing that trailer on its maiden voyage to Spain, we had the weekend together in the BP at Bordeaux, didn’t you have a Globetrotter pulling it then?

Yes you are right, Mark. I had 3 of those trailers all pulled by the Volvo’s.

This Globby ended up with Les. When Nedu packed up they gave/sold the truck to Les who was driving for them. He picked a load of groupage up in Holland got busted in Harwich with drugs in the load. Spent time Norwich jail & was freed 6 months later with all charges being dropped. He lost the truck, his house,& his wife.

I remember Les (shame this has happend to him), i workt for NEDU Holland in the last year.
Never heard from eny one sinds.
I’m looking for NEDU pictures, some one? ,regards Jan Planken.

Hymas Flat-Top

The Italians at the Multipart Truck GP 1984:

Heres one my step dad drove operating out of the yard at Bamber Bridge, Preston.
It was a trunk motor and so worked day and night, i reckon B440 CBV had mega clicks on the clock when she was sold on.
My step dad reckons he saw her in Ireland painted white and still earning a crust.

i think these pics have been posted before, but its still not the same motor! stripes above cab, colour of sunvisor, and lack of a tag axle!
someone else on here asked me if the truck i drove came from Devon area(?) as the stripes/paintwork were almost identical. It didnt, but that motor may be the one that you saw in Cyprus, now, if i can only remeber who it was who asked me about the Devon motor we may all get an answer!

this seems to always be atRedburn Transfer’s yard, probably the shunter,

Hi kindle530 Thanks for that info again. Paul
