BOATCHASER & HAYDAY
I have just seen your posts regarding John Phillips of ■■■■■■■ they finished maybe a couple o months ago.
Jock had a good innings I remember him starting up in the late 60s with a wee Leyland Terrier box van hauling for Falmer jeans then as he expanded he moved into fridges. He certainly didn’t let his disability hold him back.
a couple of pics of mine and my brothers f10s we restored the square headlight one this year but was painted the wrong coluor chassis red and are on doing the twin headlight one now hoping we will have them both ready for next years shows any info on these two would be greatly appreciated
cracking job that!

That’s a great pic and what a shame he finished. A decent firm by all accounts and his drivers all seemed good lads (came down to Warrington quite a lot and liked a little drinky or 2 IIRC) At least we still got these good pics, keep em coming!
Here’s a few of Moores of Ashby. These were all purchased new from Billows of Stoney Stanton, except the F10 which was an ex Bass Charringtons motor. I have no idea what happened to them upon Moores demise in the late 90’s. I do know that some were repainted in A&J Bull colours later on. Any photos of them in later life would be good to see. Moores was sold to Andrews Haulage of Measham around '96, who subsequently ran a few motors in a similar livery until it’s demise only last year.
I worked for Keith Gornall from Ribchester on a temp contract for 3 months back in 1996 and started off with an F12 and eventually moved up to the mighty F16…wooooosh!! Plenty of power but boy was it thirsty. T’was a true King of the Road!
any pics of gornalls motors micky■■?
