There were plento of ‘S’ reg F10’s & 12’s and I think the first couple registered were in late 1978.

Yes…they first appeared around 1978…I can still remeber drivers looking at them when they were launched and joking about the wipers on the headlamps and the airconditioning in the cab.
How is your F16 coming along Ross?

If I’m honest other than the new batteries (it’s now ‘on the button’) & buyine new king pins, ‘V stay’ & exhaust I havn’t done a thing A bit of a waste but my spare time is at a premium which is strange as I thought once I gave up racing I’d have lots of time on my hands, I’ve got a Dutch bloke pushing me to sell it to him but I’ve thrown the ball into his court & left it to him to come up with a price!!

Wouldn’t want a head on with that bumper!

Spalls used to run a lot of old volvos at one time. Up until a few years ago they used to have an F86 out on the road for the pea harvest.

Hi has any one got some good pictures stories etc about F10, F12 or F16 trucks? My first experience of the mighty F 10 trucks when I went with my dad RIP down too Port Talbot. He was at the time was working for Nick Churton a small one man band from Church stretton in Shropshire. We went down in an old Atki sorry I can’t remember what engine was in it . Well we were in the steel works and my dad parked up by the side of the mighty F10 . The driver let me in his truck . Bloody hell it was like comparing a rolls royce to a ford ■■■■■■ .I couldn,t believe the diference Comfy seats , sleeper cab and a heater that worked , I had been in a F88 and F86 but this was a league higher again !! Tony
my old man worked for barnfather and wilkes they had loads of Volvos , see attached pix
