As the Clio moves in front, the OP can clearly be seen flashing his headlights (in the reflection on the back of the Clio), and if you look very closely, he can be seen waving his fist in an aggressive manner (in the reflection on his windscreen).
His unprofessional and intimidating behaviour distracted the Clio driver thus causing the near miss.

er Coca cola kid zig zags are also a NO Parking / stopping which I think youâll find is the relevance at this point .
White zig zag lines are placed either side of the pedestrian crossing areas at all UK pedestrian crossings. Prohibition of parking in the white zig zag area increases the safety of pedestrians crossing the road as they will have a clear view or the road in both directions. An unobstructed view of the crossing for motorists is especially important at zebra crossings and light controlled crossings where the lights have changed to green for the motorists but a pedestrian may still be crossing - this can be particularly relevant to the elderly who may take longer to cross or children crossing at an inappropriate time.
Rest my case
Zig zag road markings
Zig zag road markings
Overtaking on zig zag road markings
The white zig zag road markings are placed either side of pedestrian crossings and inform motorists that it is illegal to park, wait or overtake another vehicle within the zig zag area of pedestrian crossings.
At busy crossings, cameras are often placed to record the details of offending drivers that results in a fixed penalty. It is legal however to overtake cyclists at pedestrian crossings and within the zig zag area. See pedestrian crossings for further information.

just found this âŚFair play fella so about time cyclist got done more often then
In relation to âpassingâ you cannot pass ahead of the vehicle nearest the crossing, vehicle speeds are not relevant, unless the vehicle you pass is stationary (because then it is not proceeding) and not in the process of allowing precedence.
Prohibition against vehicles overtaking at crossings
24.â(1) Whilst any motor vehicle (in this regulation called âthe approaching vehicleâ) or any part of it is within the limits of a controlled area and is proceeding towards the crossing, the driver of the vehicle shall not cause it or any part of itâ
(a)to pass ahead of the foremost part of any other motor vehicle proceeding in the same direction; or
(b)to pass ahead of the foremost part of a vehicle which is stationary for the purpose of complying with regulation 23, 25 or 26.
(2) In paragraph (1)â
(a)the reference to a motor vehicle in sub-paragraph (a) is, in a case where more than one motor vehicle is proceeding in the same direction as the approaching vehicle in a controlled area, a reference to the motor vehicle nearest to the crossing; and
(b)the reference to a stationary vehicle is, in a case where more than one vehicle is stationary in a controlled area for the purpose of complying with regulation 23, 25 or 26, a reference to the stationary vehicle nearest the crossing
another cause Bad positioning of the Diversion sign hiding persons view both ways on the crossing and drivers approaching.
The railings are designed for 2 things, moving pedestrians in a set direction and that drivers / road users are able to have a view of whatâs behind the barrier.
The argument (for the use of a word ) will throw up countless flaws⌠as to blameâŚ
At the end of the day there were a few lucky people that day.

Verdict: Mickyblue was entirely responsible for this incident.
The op was in the nearside lane. He then moves over quite late into the middle lane - was the car already in the correct middle lane and felt cut up by the OP so was trying to get in front again.
Its an approach to a roundabout with multiple exits. As the two lanes lead to different directions, passing on the nearside of a vehicle in lane 2 is permissable.
The main concern from this clip is the delay in reactions from the near miss driver. Either she was oblivious to the hazard or she was distracted by something else (mobile, facebook, the OP giving the coffe sign for cutting in?)
She was behind me as she flashed me in on the round about, then shortly later a van slipped in front of me. I then indicated and moved over and she was following me. Checked mirror again as I was moving over and noticed the ford going past. She then slipped in behind that vehicle and did what she did in the video.
