Vehicle delivery collection work for mot garage

Ive applied for a job delivering and collecting vehicles for a garage for mots etc. The job sounds pretty good but maybe too good to be true has anyone done this sort of work and do you have a good or bad experience with it?

I worked at a main dealer for a number of years and we had a guy who done that job. As long as the wages suit you and you don’t mind pushing a brush around when there’s no trucks to collect it’s probably one of the cushiest jobs going!

I have no issue with pushing a brush around as long as I’m getting paid. Is it a case of go to the custermers yard in a van bring truck back then the same again returning the truck?

Vans and / or trucks??

What about CPC / tacho rules etc■■?

Fairly sure it is just trucks I’m not too sure about tacho rules I’m hoping someone may enlighten me

Pretty much just take a van as you say, pick the trucks up for service or present them for test and the lad we had would often end up running around for the sales department, picking motors up from the paint shop or body builders etc. he could pretty much stay out of the way all day and do what he wanted most days!

Manual entries, stick to eu regs and what you learnt in your cpc youll be fine.

I was looking around for ADR Jobs and came across one collecting fuel tankers and pet reg vehicles for mot and service.

Full CPC and ADR required… The pay was shocking low.

I was going to do this for c&s a few months back. Sounded like a cushy number compared to what I was on at the time. Problem was when I handed my notice at the firm I was at the governor matched the money.

No help to you I suppose but I felt like telling you.

what would you expect though, not exactly a hard job and will spend most off the day doing f’ all.

Got an interview for the job tommorow sounds like a decent job the only downside is I will be working every other Saturday but I suppose you can’t have it all.

Is that the job advertised in Wellingborough
