I’ve obtained a VDO Smartlink device for a good price a while ago and just been starting to try it out, mainly because I do a non-driving job for the most part on a shift pattern and the odd day on the road. Info here: https://www.fleet.vdo.com/products/smartlink-pro/
Now it comes with barely any instructions saying to find them online - I’ve emailed VDO and if there’s anything useful I’ll post on here, but does anyone have any knowledge/experience in using these as so far I can’t get it to put my manual entries from the app to my card.
Did you find the instructions for the smartlink, I think I have some I found online if not. I am in the same position as you being office based except 1 day a week however I cant get a device anywhere now.
Hi ps401 - found a couple of videos on youtube but nothing specific and certainly nothing from VDO or Continental. The whole thing was very poor in terms of reliability of connection and writing manual entries via head to the card, so I sold it on eBay. I hope VDO/Stoneridge would think to develop this again in the future though as the idea is good.
