Pfft, you’ve just gotta be a patient man then I hope it will be worth the wait (must be )
There’s some new stuff coming in at v.d. Vlist as well this year, two 5 axled Broshuis semi trailers wich can be extended to I believe some 40m, esspecially designed for transporting railcars, when I’ve got some pics I will post them here.
And now a bit of history, v.d. Vlist used to have a depot in Belgium as well, first called Cheron and based in Kapellen near Antwerp, in the 00’s they moved to Zeebrugge and the name was changed in v.d. Vlist Belgium, sadly enough the transport division didn’t last that long afther the removal and was closed some five years ago, four drivers were taken over by the dutch HQ, the rest had to seek other employment…

You have a great thread going on here with some good photos as i said before i have a few van de vlist photos, heres one of an ftf again in black and white .They used a motor panel cab on it the same as on the foden ,i ll post a photo of one of watkinsons 8wheel artics on here for you to compare some time.Like i sIaid earlier the dutch always had some good tackle as you have shown in your latest photos so keep them coming. Ill sort some more pictures out for the thread. At colletts we had an 8 wheel mercedes unit which came from Holland it belonged to De Weetrings the boat hauliers at one time .
Cheer,s Richard.
Hiya Richard,
It took me some time but I’ve finally found a picture of the Merc 8 wheeler in v.d. Wetering livery
Some more history lessons then
Over the years v.d. Vlist purchased other company’s, one of those were Van Namen, they were taken over in the late 80’s, and were based in Zwijndrecht (Rotterdam region).
