There were some Mack’s in the fleet as well…
After going back and forth for the past two weeks, from Tournai to Liancourt (80) with several parts (scales) for three windmill towers, things came to an end today…
Length varied from 6.50m to 9.50, width varied from 3.02m to 4.66m, height was the same for all the parts, 3.78m
Cheers, Patrick
Nice pics again Patrick, amazes me that the French still have the convoy exceptional stuff trundling thru quiet villages when there’s an almost empty autoroute running parallel. Strange lot indeed!

Hiya,
I too wonder about that sometimes, but I prefer driving down the RN’s, that’s where the driving skills are needed when driving through those tiny villages. And let’s not forget the scenery eh

Hi Patrick … An interesting thread this with great pictures and top range equipment on display.
I did a fair bit of CE work in France in the late Noughties and also drove " Pilot " on many occasions when work was on the thin side…
I have to say though that it was small beer to what you and your mates do! Keep it up and safe trips.
Regards, Baldrick.

Well, time for another episode of “golden oldies” I reckon…
DAF was always represented by a large number in the fleet, but things have sadly changed nowadays…
A lazy sunday…time to post some pic’s once again…
This time some footage of the dutch build equivalent of a Scammell, namely the FTF, proper workhorses with “screaming” Detroit diesel engines…
