Urgent - stolen tappys truck scania 4 series bf52 jyn

A total mess, if that had been my motor i would’ve sooner it not to been found or totally burnt out. I know it’s only a piece of metal but when you spend money & time keeping it looking nice, for some mindless scrote to do that amount of damage is un called for & heart breaking, if they only wanted the running gear i’m sure that could’ve been taken without cutting the chassis up?

Andy smg:
I’m sure you’ll have her minted in no time mate.
I heard a rumour Mr Vain is quite good at polishing, (and he’s cheap to hire). Sorry Rob couldn’t resist.

Best of luck Tappy.

he’s not cheap to hire, he’s just cheap :open_mouth:

I’m entitled to my own opinion. My whole point being if you love your truck that much dont leave it in the way of temptation. As i said before £20.00 woukld have saved a lot of grief.

never said you werent entitled to your opinion??aidey.
the point im making is,some drivers including myself cant afford to pull out £20.00 on a regular basis, regardless of the fact if you love your truck or not.

Just one thing about paying to park up … not been essex way looking to park for a few years but where can you park and pay anyway …
The point being if there aint somewhere on the route your on your stuffed anyway.
When I was tramping the Riverside and Jocks were full by 4 or 5, South Mimms yeah ok thats always full, Clacketts lane they were always full to the extent they park on the out slip. It aint always easy to find Safe and SECURE parking.
I know I only do night trunking now but even so if I dont have time to get anywhere then its a layby and it dont make a difference wether your with the truck or not if they want it they’ll take it…

So as a rule its not wether its a layby or not its SAFE SECURE PARKING we need at affordable pricing
Jn 29 truckstop is normally full by 4pm

My last word on this subject. Whatever you may think is that tappy is ■■■■■■■ lucky he’s still has a job after what happened. Companies such as pentalver normally insist on safe parking and willingly pay it back to you. I hate paying as much as most of you do but if it makes for a safer night and probably saves you your job should anything happen and providing you get it back then pay it. Oh and there are places you can park in essex secure.
If you dont then it’s up to you but no good crying when your truck ends up like a crushed tin can.

Must admit, every company i have worked for, the insurance is only covered if truck is in yard or if i am asleep in it due to being away.

Well i guess that’s what they told you? Now some GIT insurance may have conditions.

You’ll be telling us they told you, you aren’t insured to carry a passenger next! :unamused:

Blimey Aidey, your taking a chance, being ,in any way critical over the loss of this Highly Blinged -up work of art, now reduced to a heap of scrap. To even suggest that Tappy is lucky to still have a job,(which he wouldn,t if I was his employer, given the circumstances in which the waggon went awol),amounts to sacrilage to many on this thread. Stand by for a bombardment from those who think differently to you, (and me), on this tale of trucking disaster, which I thought was dead and buried. I am already heading for shelter. :unamused: :unamused: It is also my last word on it, so say what you like boys,n girls I,ll be in the garden.

my words exactly, i fully agree with aidey on this one.

lets not start typing things like that, i think tappy knows what could of happened but you know how he feels when a bloke loses his pride and joy

WHY ALL THE BULL ABOUT A MOTOR ?

Just as I said a few pages back IT’s ONLY A TRUCK…REPLACEABLE (Plenty old Tesco things knocking about)

one thing i never picked up for sure, was this a company truck or tappy’s own truck?

the truck belongs to pentalvers

Must admit, every company i have worked for, the insurance is only covered if truck is in yard or if i am asleep in it due to being away.

How does that work with your tacho then? If you have got to stay with the truck does it count as rest?
