Must be true, it is in the Sun.

I mean if you read the article it has a point.
Imagine going in a car park with no signs saying you have to pay only to be charged for parking there.
That is the ULEZ in a nutshell. Yea, it is common knowledge on the internet that ULEZ = pay our tax. But many people do not know. You have to presume everyone is a hermit living under a rock in the eyes of the law.
The Dartford crossing clearly advertises its fees before you get to it. So should ULEZ.
Looks like Khan has screwed up again. lol.
The news is suggesting over 200,000 vehicles a day at £12.50 that’s over £2 million a day. No doubt that any hiccups inside what Khan can control will be sorted pretty darn quickly.
Brilliant analogy above, about going into a carpark and not knowing what to pay.

Nope. In the UK ignorance of the law is not a defence. Just like it is the responsibility of the driver to ensure that they keep up to changes in the law it is up to the driver to make sure they comply. Just because there aren’t warning signs from 20 miles away doesn’t give you an excuse when you drive into the clearly signed ULEZ zone in London in a vehicle that’s not compliant.

It isn’t because you get warning signs as you reach the ULEZ and it’s the responsibility of the driver to keep themselves up to date with law and rule changes.

2 million a day eh?
Anybody would think they were only doing it for the cash, with no ■■■■ s given about pollution in stark reality.
Nah dont believe that for one minute.
That Khan character comes across as an arrogant little sh in my eyes.
I just hope all this stuff backfires on him big style,.and that it leads to his political downfall.
It’s all fine and dandy pandering to the lefties and their impractical and uneconomical green agenda, but news flash…these cretins are in the minority NOT the majority, (despite the pc official line that they want us to believe,.but as ever many actually DO believe everything they are told. )

Would an up to date Sat Nav not also warn you when you’re in the ULEZ?
I’m with Conor on the “ignorance is no excuse”, that kind of thing certainly cuts no ice with the TC
The natives are getting…
Restless.

How do you know your vehicle is not compliant?
Where is it stated what the fee will be?
He added of the signs: “Just saying you are in a zone is, by itself, meaningless.”
“They need to tell you not just where you are but what happens, in other words a charge could be incurred.
Nick Freeman added: “Because that hasn’t happened, the signs are neither use nor ornament.
“They are not fit for purpose and might as well not be there.”
But either way…
The blade runners are out in force.
Nine In Ten ULEZ Cameras Destroyed In SE London
Only 29 of the 183 devices in Sydenham are operational, as a wave of protest by anti-ULEZ ‘Blade Runners’ wrecks Sadiq Khan’s plans to impose £12.50 charge.
Only 4 cameras are intact in Bromley, and only 1 is working on the A225,
Seems like the national/international research on the ‘Just HOW far the populace will go with servility’ experiment in the Covid b/s period, didnt give a true reading after all then eh.
Some people can see through crap.and have a backbone for resistance after all eh?
Little acorns etc.
You’re more likely to get a photofine as a result of driving in bus lanes, or speeding @ 31mph through a 20 zone I would have thought…
How does a camera decide if a vehicle is “non-compliant” bearing in mind one might have a 19 plate Merc/BWM that belches smoke NOT trigger a photofine, when an older so-called “Compliant” car - turns out to not be “exempt” from the charge after all, due to lack of information for EVERY car published on the government website?
Sounds a bit like that LBTS thing where you see one artic go down one road, but to another - it’s apparently “against the scheme/law” to drive down that road… How does anything know? If it’s done on APNR then how come we don’t get maps tied to the reg of your vehicle which and what the “allowed routes to avoid the charge” happen to be?
Not going too well for the little ■■■■ s popularity with the natives either apparentlly.

To be fair Boris and Schapps are equally up to their necks in the scam. While the Tories pretend opposition to it.
Notice the Tory controlled Home Counties are making a big pretence of opposition but none of them have said let’s take back the stolen Boroughs’ from the GLA.While also imposing numerous anti car use policies of their own.
Disgruntled locals…
Outside Downing Street. Included in the video is a copper no bigger than a bollard.
Protesting outside the correct place.
Unlike the idiots that protest on the M25 over oil lol. Good on them.

Not often I agree with you CF, but on this occasion you are spot on, It was Boris not Khan that started it.
Khan has just carried on with it.
Nothing wrong with a bit of JUSTIFIED anarchy and resistance to unfairness and complete ■■■■ takes.
Pity we did not see more (or even some ) of it in our OWN industry.

The ULEZ fiasco is just a symptom of a much larger agenda which ranges from the whole net zero narrative bs to the open door immigration policy. The establishment, which includes the Tory liars, is hoping it’ll be too late by the time enough people wake up to it.
With any dissent labelled as conspiracy theorists and far right activists.

What you conspiracy theorists don’t realise is that once you start throwing your whacko nonsense into the ring it undermines the position of the original argument, which might previously have been completely valid, thus allowing the opposing side to write the argument off as the product of you lot.
