Uk trucking diaries....Kev Tee

I’ve seen a few of his videos and think there quite good. Never going to please everyone on here. The fact is he’s put himself out there and if it makes him and some others happy then Good for him.

Reef:
I’m not gonna lie Kev you got more balls than me, you stepped out of your comfort zone and put yourself out there and for that I have to take my hat off to you, your video editing is really good considering you’re still relatively new to it, I understand that fresh content is a problem due to the sameness of your drops but don’t worry too much about that just experiment with a few camera positions and angles combined with good editing and the same destinations wont seem such a problem, maybe try and do some good practical demonstrations as and when you can too.

I’m pretty fussy about who I sub to and even though I’ve watched all your videos to date I still haven’t subbed, but because of your attitude on here as well as in your videos that’s now about to change, sub incoming.

Thanks reef, that’s some great feedback and really appreciated, your right I do stress about being on the same routes so I’ll defiantly be taking on your suggestions.

Not sure if it takes balls or stupidity lol, to be honest I hate the face to camera stuff and that’s why come across as a bit awkward sometimes. I enjoy the editing and creating something from nothing. I don’t have great content to record so I try to make the vlogs more visually pleasing than the others to compensate.

I’m also a very fussy subscriber so really appreciate the sub, as a driver myself I actually find it difficult to watch other trucking vlogs (apart from mr Vernon)

Taken a look at some of your videos, nothing wrong with them if you like that sort of thing. I don’t subscribe to these trucking channels other than Peter Owen and Matt Ireland, however you don’t come across as arrogant or patronising in the least. I don’t really understand anyone doing these sort of videos myself but I am sure if you get pleasure from it and if people like it why not. I hate arrogance from people so I suppose if you stay away from that I am sure you will do well. Another thing I particularly hate is people blowing their own trumpets and yet again that is not you either. Good luck with them. I should really think about doing YouTube videos myself as I am a real people person and people love me.

Here’s a question :

If he’s doing these vids on a break as he put it ’ for a chat ’ , are they classed as other work seeing as about his job? Does he get paid YouTube revenue ?

Does DVSA look and care and hunt these fiends down who flaunt the righteous rest periods ?

Me think not, actually I really do think not it’s late and the funny named stuff in cans is working [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]

Seriously?!?!?!?

I don’t think partaking in a hobby whilst on break qualifies as ‘other employment’ ‘under obligation’ or ‘instructions’

Beetlejuice:
Dozy should do vlogs…
Be entertaining .
And very well replied Kev…

Ever the diplomat

Much appreciated Casper, I understand it’s not to everyone’s taste and I don’t expect everyone to like it, as long as what I enjoy creating pleases a few I’m happy.

Cheers UKtramp, it’s definitely not for any monetary reward, it’s pennies and id make more selling inflatable dartboards! I enjoy the creative side and editing is a bit of a hobby and if the content helps someone or encourages someone to become a driver then even better, the added bonus is most of the work is done in work time

Go for it mate, if your a likable person and can be a bit creative, you can make a successful channel out of any hobby your already doing, especially if you have some knolage to share. The fun bit is when brands get involved and send you free stuff

Well good on you buddy, your doing no harm and as for the free stuff, theres the bonus. Quick question is what did you do before you started driving as I can tell your not the average standard of today’s drivers?

I was an office manager for an international MOD contractor, good salary but being behind a desk and the stress after several years was enough for me, decided there was a lot more to life than money so decided to do something I might enjoy.
Almost 2 years in and the best decision I made, how much longer will it last? Who know but when I do fall out of love with it I’ll move on to something better :sunglasses:

Well as a 72 yr old still trucking member I like his vlog. Look around the standard truck stop guys and see the average age. We need new blood in the industry and this lad paints an enthusiastic and mainly positive image of the job as well as a realistic one of the downsides. The simple answer is, if you don’t like him don’t watch. For that reason, rather than tear what remaining hair out I have left, I don’y buy the Daily Mail!

adonis after 34yrs at the game i assure you i dont get jealous of a little run down to italy or a shiny v8 but those of you who do all the best and after attempting to watch 3 or 4 in 2yrs i can just about manage to refrain from now on but tks anyway

Interesting how after attempting to watch 3 or 4 in two years you instantly became an expert on my personality and how I do the job. It’s always the same, the people who don’t watch come out with the same tired lines - he’s got a massive ego/he thinks he’s something special/he’s full of himself/he’s an arse licker. As regular viewers will tell you none of this is actually true and a lot of people misconstrue things I say because they don’t get my sense of humour. Anyway that’s that, it’s my evening now as I worked all night so time to go to bed in this bog standard FH  Have a good afternoon all

Nice to see you have your memory back

Yep never noticed the date

as ranstrop says the industry needs these people, they show the job how it is, its easy to pick out the rubbish from the rest, but they give an insight to how the system works ( usually against the driver ), it is a shame that drivers don’t learn from the older lads in the yard nowadays, very few need roping and sheeting skills but how to make best use of the internal straps, locking bars and how to minimise damage with a ratchet strap are all things that needed to ease the life on the road, especially for those wishing to move away from rdc deliveries and taste life on the open roads and those first trips across on the ferry,
