Yes that is a must then when quality of facilities inc parking,showers and toilets maybe they could adopt the eu motorways and autohofs way.By that I mean charge a reasonable price to park in return for spotless toilets/showers/good fresh cooked food etc.The price of the parking is then deducted,problem solved.I know it will never happen here but it works on the mainland.

I only use Extra services as they accept SNAP, don’t bother with the rest of them. Spent enough time even in my short year with my current mob in crappy MSAs, not doing it any longer. Slowly building up places where I know I can stay.
I know a lot of you blokes have to night out most of the week [if not all week]but I don’t know how you do it tried it once for about 6 months on and off ,did not agree with me,i like my own bed at night too much
I know a lot of people hate it but I never had a crap meal at Stibbington Cafe. Never socialised or used the bar there though, too knackered. There was a bird there serving the food that had impresive boobage which made up for it.
I start work early afternoon if I done nights out can you imagine trying to find a parking spec between midnight and 4am. Bad enough if I want a 45 min break about 10pm there’s only Strensham north and Lymm that I know I will get somewhere.

as usual though the parking area for hgvs is about half a mile away[slight exaggeration I know but you know what I mean]parking for cars is allways right outside the services while hgv drivers usually have to walk a couple of hundred yards[worse if you are busting for a jimmy]
Hopwood Park. My mate ran out of time a few weeks back and texted me to see if I could google him a taxi firm that’d take him from the HGV area to the services.

My parking bill for 4 nights rarely tends to be over 15 or 16 quid. We’ve got urine extracting agency guys that park on Maidstone - unit only and pay £38 or whatever it is.

They are full up by 17.00 and the parking for Lgvs at Cobham must have been designed by a blind and drunk dyslexia suffering Mr Maggoo .
With the large amount of cross channel traffic using the M25, surely the owners could have purchased more land adjacent to the Msa.
They probably wouldn’t have been able to use additional land due to planning restrictions and if they could have bought more, why would they do it purely to park truck? Especially with land prices in the South East.

Agree with that but the KFC is excellent and worth the walk.
Only ever use the facilities there in the Garage nice walk up but then would been to a KFC
My complaint is they’re so badly laid out. I pulled in to Cobham last week and the overspill HGV parking is a joke. The bays are to your left and you have to drive into them at an angle. This means you have to blindside reverse out of them and you can’t even see what’s coming.
Why not put the bays over the other side and have you reverse into them on your good side.
South Mimms is a bit of a joke too with all the trucks parked in the middle. Circled that a few times before and many bays are empty because no one can get in them.
Saw loads of artics blocking each other in at Clackett Lane last week too. Would’ve loved to have seen that play out when they started to wake up and leave.
