Sorry about the mis-information Mark but that was what a fitter from Iddons once told me. I have found a few more and the first one is another that you will know more about than me.

We’re probably both right David. They were definitely bought by TRMs as new, then when they gave up their own transport they were most likely sold to Iddons and eventually passed to ELW.
I think Davenports have one of them, J Turner has another, and I think Dave Bolton might have the third.
While we’re on about Burscough firms and customer liveries, Johnsons (across the fence from TRM in Red Cat Lane) used to have a couple of F88s in Ellerman colours. They were a horrible drab grey, which made them look scruffy. Thankfully, the replacement DAFs and the F10/12s didn’t get painted in customer colours…
We have another problem if there were three Mark. Second hand information again but ELWs fitter told me that one of them was burnt out on the M62. He also told me that the driver had videoed it going up and put it on You tube but I could never find it. Here is one of them
That might explain where one of Johnson’s motors went to then… They had one in the usual two-tone green and the other in white. I’m sure Davenport ran their ECT in TRMs livery for a while, then it was blown over in their blue and ran unlettered for a while before it had the signwriting done. That Turners wagon seems to be in Morgans @ Halsall quite often, as does Dave Boltons. I must remember to note the reg nos.
Hello marky & trcukfing

Curiouser & curiouser…
Spoke to someone in the know today and the pair of Johnson’s ECTs were chopped-in for their 08-plate Scania which they bought new. Given the length of time they can keep their wagons, the ERFs didn’t last that long really - 53 plates and bought new - gone in 2008. He didn’t know who ended-up with them, so unless someone has their registration numbers and the new owners haven’t put ‘cherished’ plates on them, I suspect we’ve reached a dead end.
Still - it’s summat to talk about, innit?
It certainly is getting mysterious. I have no more info but I might have a picture somewhere. My filing system is non-existant so it means trawling through them all. Looking for liveries has made me look a bit harder though and I have just noticed the TDG juggler on these tankers to keep the thread on course.
As promised a couple of pics from our fleet…
not the best of photos just caught it as it went out of the estate.
Bit of a mix and match this one, truck in Mornflake colours and trailer in HJLeaOakes colours.
