ok im not a owner /fleet owner but the new end dump.36ft triaxle on air (no lift axles) I pull is scrubbing the driver side inner tyres to the point I have had to run it in to replace then( its Canada and we all run twins still)and us drivers if we need tyres etc just go and get er done .I pull the trailer since new and I never spin it round ever. The near side tyres are like new its just the o/s inners that are the problem.
the tyres are 11 24.5 GF Goodrich.
The trailer has been taken back to the manufacturer and the tracking checked ,the pin was aligned ,my unit was checked that it was running straight no problems.
so folks any ideas I can put to the boss.
Sounds like the trailer has too much camber on the driver side axles even though the tracking was right, did they check the camber?.Do you always fit Goodrich, have you thought about fitting another make like Goodyear they do a G751 MSA in 11R24.5.Or what do the Goodrich people think is causing the problem or don’t they know. B F Goodrich and Michelin Tire group are one and the same and even have office suites in the same building.
Michelin’s contact number is 1-888-871-4444
B F Goodrich is 1-888-871-6666
no the usual tyres are firestone,or YOKO. bfg came new fit.
now the trailer manufactures just about laughed in my face when I ran it in to the factory for them to check . now I will tell my gaffer about the camber needs checking, but only another 2 month or so left before the quarry shuts (prairie winters) lol.
thanks for the reply jimmy.
