Tyres pirelli TH88

Any one running the above drive tyres on 44t unit?

I’m running Pirelli TR-01’s on the drive at 44tonne motorway & building sites. New, 14/10/13 464,000km I’ve now 551,169km with 11mm left, they’re 22mm new I presume so half way through them. They holding although every tyre takes cosmetic damage on my work.

Hankook AH 22’s on non steer midlift 15mm (beasted when down, I do some empty running.)

Mich 3d xze multiway on steer 9mm

Rough measures on paper & tape, I bust my gauge.

Don’t touch them ive tried 3 sets on units with bulk tippers struggled to get 40-50k out of them far too soft paid £290 each ,spend 25-30 quid a tyre more on brig 728s and get twice the mileage and the casings will b worth more when knackered.

You heard it here first.

Thank you for feed back.

Pushed a bit to far so had to go with what was on the shelf, now have drive axle fully shode with hankooks.
Will say they have been on three weeks now and still get skid warning on damp roundabouts!

That’s cuz you is caning it. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve heard people speak highly of Hankook’s, they are on my short list along with Mich, Conti & Bridge. Some people have said Pirelli’s don’t last but that may be off road tipper tyres. I suppose these companies are improving their offerings all the time & a new model may be far, far better than the old model of tyre.

I haven’t heard anyone say they love Good Year or Dunlop, usually luke warm about these two? Anyone? :bulb:

I got a set th on the front. (Th-02 or something like that) had to get them balanced as for the first 200 miles I was shaking like a jackhammer now okay 2 months down the line also got 4 new drive axle tyres hankooks 6 weeks ago done about 9k miles on them and I’m still sliding on corners

This week is 12 months since putting 2 mich on one side and 2 Hancook on the other on a drive axle and there’s not a mm difference in wear .

Hankook’s are a bit but slippy in the drive axle seems to be he consensus?
