tv on laptop

just wondered if i wanted to watch to on a laptop how is it done and what is needed and how much am i looking at spending

There are tuners available that plug into a USB port and you can connect whatever aerial you want to it.

You will need a fairly well specced graphics chipset in your laptop to handle the frame rate. You will also need a decent amount of memory for video buffering.

The USB devices are usually no bigger than a standard sized memory stick but that’s because they rely on the laptop to do all the video processing.

Dependant on your mobile phone data plan you could always watch “tv catchup”. It’s very good but be careful how much data it’s using.
I pair my mobile to my laptop and use that.

best option is get a cheap tv and use that. saves on tv dongle (which doesn’t always work that well) and you can use internet as well as watching tv.

yea thinking of pairing my phone up as i have unlimited usage on my mobile ( never off google maps n youtube )

Well TV Catchup is definitely the best way, and its free. :wink:
