Tv aerial

Hi all can anyone suggest the best way to fix an external tv aerial to Daf xf space cab? Is there somewhere to buy a bracket or ideas on making one also best tv aerial to get ?
Thanks
Andy

Potentially silly question, but does anybody actually need to bother with a TV anymore? Is an iPad/other tablet of choice, and cheap unlimited data SIM card/tethering off your phone not a much easier option?

Best bet get a smart TV or a firestick no need for an aeirel.
Download all the apps bbc player itv UKTV play
Then you can watch live TV or anything on demand.
And watching TV a few hours of a night doesn’t use much data anyway

Also discussed here not long ago

My suggestion would be a Moonraker DTV-1000
If you search the forum you will find several posts about these

Just get a cheap Android tablet or i pad. Teather it to your phone and you are good to go. No need for an arial and takes up less space than a tv.

This is the way. All mainstream channels, BBC, ITV, Ch4, Ch5 have streaming apps for free anyway.

I tried every ■■■■ aerial there is including that one.
They are only as good as the reception area you are in…which is a bit obvious on reflection.  .
If even I can move into Century 21 and dump the tv in favour of a tablet,.anybody can.

The OP asked about tv aerials, and the moonraker was a favourite of many in the past.
Despite being a “day man” I’m able to utilise the free public wifi available at the stores, so I use the iptvsmarters app on my phone and use the same sub for my tv at home to watch whatever I want while I’m killing time parked up or while tipping at stores. No doubt everyone and his grandma has a firestick at home to watch sly tv, I just take it with me on my phone/tablet

21st century? careful Rob you’ll be buying a satnav next and dumping the whole box of roadmaps

Yes I remember the days of parking up and getting grainy signal. I wouldn’t bother with an aerial nowadays though given the availability of streaming services. If your TV is smart enough you can cast from your device onto the TV, or use a smart app on the TV itself, but as with aerials signal can still be a pain so keep some stuff downloaded for backup

Christ I remember getting my first tv in the cab (which was black and white ffs  ).plugged into the cigarette lighter and watching it for first time in my 81 Scania.
Sat in my sleeper conversion bunk drinking tea from ny flask (after first few years of kipping across the seats in a day cab), on Canterbury truck park thinking I was ‘‘The new modern trucker’’ with all the ‘luxuries’ :sunglasses:  ,…how times and the job has changed.
