TRUX bars legal Yes /No

Can someone tell me if TRUX bars (offroad or highway) are legal for UK roads? I assume they are as they are similar to Kelsa bars…

if so, does anybody now where I can buy a second hand one for a Scania 143 ( with or without fixing kit).

Thanks

I had one (well the place i worked had 2 brand new Dafs in 2002, and boss had them fitted) on my motor, no problems in UK, but got fined in Switzerland.

Apparently they are illegal there. Funny that, as i was arguing with the copper, as Swiss motor went past with the same bar on his motor, and the coper didnt bat an eyelid.
Amongst other things, I got measured from tip of bar to the rubber stops on trailer, was 2cm underlength. Cost my boss about £220, copper said if he ever saw either motor in Swiss again he would fine us double.
Boss took the bars off, as we regularly transited Swiss, then after a month the boss said sod it, and put them back on. Never had a problem.
The only thing i can say is be aware of the overall length of lorry and trailer if you get a pull by the ministry.
Trux products are the dogs bollox, made in Sweden, so very strong and sturdy. They were the original truck bar seller in the UK before Kelsa popped up.
I personally would choose Trux over Kelsa everytime.
Cant help with finding a 3series one thou, this bloke has one thou (pic from truckblog.co.uk)

trux bars/ bull bars are legal when fitted to HGV on uk roads long as they have no sharp projections. As long as you stay within c&u regs ie: length. Fitting them to a car/4x4 is another story.

Stupid looking and dangerous pieces of kit, should be banned.
