Thats a beauty and must be rare now. That looked a cheap buy as been totally restored looking at the pics.

But quite butchered, a long way from stock standard.

SDU This one lay at an old Sawmill between Richmond and Lithgow (NSW) I think it may be gone now though … I have more than likely posted these before !!! :laughing:

Well I had the pleasure of driving an 8 legger Thorny in the late 50s, It was a ex BRS Motor from Peterbrough. BEG 506, Sadley I dont have any photos of it, The firm I worked also had BEG 571, Larry.

Cheers Backsplice, I believe Thornycroft targeted the timber industry, in the '50s, reasonably successfully in the Mid-north Coast and Dorrigo. I’m glad I wasn’t around then. :laughing:
