Hi dose anyone know of any good truckstops near Waterford Newross and Wexford plz
Don’t know of any specific truck stops down there but most garages have space for a lorry or two, if you are coming in through Rosslaire there are a few places to park once you clear the port, just as you leave Rosslaire at the top of the hill there are a few places on the left hand side with about a 10 minute walk back to Rosslaire for the chipper.
theres a fair size garage/truckstop /restaurant about falf hr outa the docks m8 on the left

You have got to be a good 80 miles away from the M8 to the docks
Nearly Cork!

OK sorry to have upset you.
But do you have a link to it any way as for future reference.
There seams to be guides to UK truck stops; just can’t find any guides to R.I.

Isn’t that m8 shorthand for mate ?
There was a small chain of truckstops in Ireland called Mother Hubbards, I don’t know if they’re still around.
When I was doing multi-drop delivery work around Ireland I had no problems finding parking and food. Most larger petrol stations had hot food and drinks on sale.
Most pubs would let you park in their car park overnight, if they had a big enough car park and you were buying a meal in there. I just had to ask, never a problem
There are also a few small truckstops scattered around. There’s one just past Naas, not far out of Dublin called Toughers, excellent place.
There was another one in Dundalk, the only thing there was a few automatic diesel pumps, nothing else. No parking area, no parking near by, no other facilities near by either anyway. I never did figure out how they had the hard neck to call it a truckstop at all tbh.
Best thing to do is ask around when you’re in the area you want and make up your own guide.

That looks like the same group, I used the Mother Hubbards at Cashel and Galway a few times and I bypassed a few others.
I’d say you need a decent road map of Ireland or a knowledge of the road system. Those locations are just to give you a rough idea of where the places are.
Mostly they seemed easy to find, maybe there are ‘truckstop this way’ signs when you get close. It was over 10 years ago when I was last over there, I don’t remember clearly because it wasn’t a problem, nothing to remember. I seem to remember paper place mats with a map and the Mother Hubbard sites marked on it though.
