Is it me or does there seem to be a lot of truck fires recently, the one on the M6 northbound recently involved a 66 reg Scania with a double deck trailer operated by a pallet haulier,is it problems with trailers or tractors or a combination of the two?
DPF regens don’t help as exhaust gets very hot , my Actros has just one one and you could fry an egg on it

I’ve found its normally the trailers that are the cause from what I’ve seen. The one that went up this year on the M180 was because it wasn’t serviced properly.
You mean sticking brake getting ultra hot leading to brake fire

If you’re referring to that one on the 180, it was apparently because the axle was rubbing. Its not the first time this has happened to the company in 2016/2017. So far it stands at 3 that have gone up.
