I was talking to a driver for Turners and he was saying how quiet they are ,hes working funny hours now has to so he said -but iv been busy myself .

Google Jct6 truck sales in Brum , he’s got some 2022 DAFs and had Some 2021 Sleklis I think some companies out stretched them selfs after covid and the bank and tax man has come calling for their money
We used to go all over with stone slabs but that nearly broke the company , now I mostly go to Oxford with windscreens or shunt boxes back from Southampton docks and the firm is making a profit by subbing out the distance work
Since the government got it in their heads about the mythical drivers shortage and let the EU companies do loads in the Uk the back load rate has dropped through the floor making long runs for low money non cost effective as you can’t get a decent paying back load

i reckon youre right ,iv not recently seen any scottish firms or even northern ,midlands ,driving around Suffolk ,not like i used to. I spose those artics iv now seen for sale are owned by the banks and then farmed out to dealers to try to sell on to passers by ,think they got prices in window like old fashioned Daley style
It has gone quiet. Was in Bift the other day. Maritime were stacking trailers in 3s.They have so many of them. Me am thinking of going back on the buses. People will still need to travel. Have just renewed my cpc.

is that not hanbury davis yard, got about 6 dafs lined up
Not Hanbury Davies, Hanbury Riverside! Used to be in Thurrock but take over, buy out or something happened and Lee moved upto Capel st.Mary, no doubt supported by his old boss and mentor Glyn (fingers in so many pies) Davies.
They had a brand new Nooteboom Lowloader trailer there last year and had just sold it that morning when I saw it and called in. They kept coming up with other options from Asset Alliance after that so obviously tied in to that.
