hiya i would’nt pay to show my truck any way,its enough to pay for the fuel yet alone £60 to show the truck.
no trucks no show.
one year the uttoxeter show people asked my mate if he could help them out as they was short of trucks.
my mate said he could get 3 there as i could drive one and he could take one on his lowloader they said it
would be £120 for the 3 trucks, my mate said no chance , buy your own trucks to show, and i agree with him/
i pay for camping thats bad enough.
John
yes, but at Peterborough Truckfest, it is half the price to take the truck as it is for camping
It’s Friday night at 5pm and there’s not that many arrived. Last year it was jam packed by this time but i did see SNT’s T-cab there along with Jamie Sharps motors
Hasn’t rained all day, but saying that, looking through the fence as i drive home the mud does seem to be showing. I’ve also noticed some trucks are slightly leaning to one side. I wouldn’t worry about the mud as there is paths between the trucks
Won’t see you there MB as my Dad and I decided against it, the Brother has changed his mind and gone but he’s the only one of us 3 (the blue E14). I’m going to save my diesel money for the Belvoir Castle show in a fortnight, definitely worth a look for the lorry fan (and free to enter for exhibitors too!)
I guess if I had paid forty pounds I might have been more inclined to take the lorry but I only lost a tenner today (aren’t I nice paying for Dads?) so not too bothered. There’s still Belvoir, the AEC rally at Newark etc etc so will just save the money for now.

is that on the 19th? might pop up and have a butchers
I will probably be there tomorrow. I know my boss from work is there/going.
I saw a few show style trucks heading in the Peterborough direction last night so I know there will be at least 4 trucks there…
Hasn’t rained all day but not as many trucks as last year. To be honest, i am disappointed with it as there wasn’t hardly any shows in the main arena due to the weather. Oh well, if it rains next year i won’t be going
All that work to make them look good and it goes down the pan
This said it all really
That word rhymes with ‘pretty,’ but it isn’t allowed on here. dd.

Yep on the 19th and 20th with probably a few more wagons there on the Sunday. Though I have just heard on the grapevine that they are doing a ground check on Friday, though there is no mention on the official website.
The weekend after at Newark should be good. It’s celebrating 100 years of AEC but all makes are allowed.

i know a lot of you dont care either way and im sure some will say something but with all the rain we have had and it isnt getting any better for the next couple of weeks and the ground at peterboro is already cut up from another show what are the chances of it being cancelled, there is rumour going around that this will happen if the rain doesnt stop the ground cant take it
