Just a bit more on the Mack. Western trucks was contacted by the BBc and that asked about a Mack and put Kevins fowerd to them.

Good job because the truck was just about on its last legs due to kevin not havin enough money to keep it going. I am sure somone on here will know Kevin and the truck was taked about a wile back.

I worked for Picard, or someone very much like him, there is a real nice bloke drinks with me on a Sunday and he looks like him as well as operates like him :stuck_out_tongue: He doesn’t suffer fools though, especially when those fools are his own drivers.

What about Clarence the removal man?

No the fitter was called Ernie Stubbs…

Picards drivers were…Rollo,Horse…(they drove the ERF’s),Fogoff(he drove the Seddon Akti 411 on continental work),Jill(when she eventually got her license) took over Rollo’s ERF when he was sacked…Picard also used Horses brother who was called Ray if he was short of a driver…the only problem was he didnt have a class 1 license.
O’Brady’s drivers were…Trevor(the eggman),Bedrock the big irishman…they both ran the Merc SK’s
Picards subby O/D’s were Johnny(Lonesome Cowboy) who had the Mack and Snoggo…he ran the Transconti.
Debbie was the office secretary.

Does anybody know what happened to all the trucks after the show finished…i can remember one of the truck mag’s doing a feature on the show…there was supposed to be a second series but it never happened.

cheers toyboy for clearing that one up…i,ll get back to you on the obradys cab in the field

When/where was this taken■■?

Thanks for clearing the cab question up…the haulage yard that was used in the programme was owned by Derry Bros an irish haulier…it is located just off Junction 7 of the M62…if you are heading west it is on the left hand side of the motorway just before the junction…doesnt look any different now then it did then…still has the portakabins there.

I think it is now the base of Hireco and A&M Commercials, off Clock Face Road A569.
