trux:
Is it me , or do all the Notts accents sound like thee ■■■ frum Mansfield way ■■
The yard is supposed to be in Eastwood which is nearly half way between Nottingham and Mansfield. Once you get a few miles north of the city the accents start to differ the further you get towards ‘Werksop’. I’m told that the differences evolved dahnt pits intowden days
Mr Skinnylegs:
The cast were supposed to have worked hard on their Nottingham accents.
They failed miserably me duck
I agree mi duck I’m from Nottingham and not once did I hear em say gi orr orse yall koppit or gerron korsi or gerrit ya sen I fluent in Nottingamese
I posted this earlier on this topic I live just off Junc 27 on the M1 that’s Between Mansfied and Hucknall the closer you get to Nottingham the more likely you’ll hear innit and bro and word up
Episode 3, well what can you say? Quite funny, and sad all rolled into 1 episode!
If you can’t relate that to the real life of a truck driver, or any one from any walk of life, you definitely don’t have kids.

I thought it was well funny when he walked out of that bints bedroom and told her old man his [zb] smelt of her [zb]…
All I am going to say is that the little blonde is a hottie and the bird who tossed off the bloke to get her way can do that to me if she wants her stuff quicker!
Have I lost it, am I the only one who enjoyed this program.
I was going to switch off on episode 1, but stuck with it.
Episode 2 was better, but the coat hanger bit and the old
bosses mansion and Bentley would give joe public the wrong
impression.
Episode 3, well, I laughed & cried, what a classic, cant wait for
episode 4, well done the BBC, What do you all expect, lots of
trucking up and down like Eddie’s boy’s or a comedy program
about the trials & tribulations of truck drivers.
Like I said, cant wait for episode 4, more saucy scenes and
funny one liners.

‘Innit’ and ‘bro’ - the language of Bulwell youth, wannabe gangstas.

Your not on your own, it’s the negative poster are in need of a sense of humour, and most of them seem to moan about anything truck related, haha.
I though Stephen “getting an ■■■■■■ under false pretences” was classic!
Just watched episode 3 on iplayer, its night a day compared to the first episode.
I thought the first episode was cringeworthy, but the last episode far better, in fact good telly drama, some funny bits, some thought provoking.
It doesn’t really have to have anything to do with trucks it’s about the characters. So you can ignore the errors on that and there are some bits that I’m sure most truck drivers can relate to.

I take it some of the characters sit online for hours on end starting threads bemoaning the prat in the Blue Golf that carved them up that morning, naming and shaming the paddy in the scanny who wouldn’t move over, and wondering whether drivers prefer manual or auto boxes.

I think that’s the next episode.
Either that, or the last episode, where they’ve been doing the job so long there are no other methods left for clinging on to their sanity.

I didn’t realise this was a way of clinging onto sanity? More like the place to finally push it over the cliff it has been teetering on for so many years.
It must be obvious to all now,it’s a drama about individuals, not a documentary on trucking, which is only a backdrop,so they can be forgiven not being entirely perfect.
The soft ■■■■ is good for a chuckle, seems to be a good portion on each episode now.
I said recently that Martin will be tearing into that office totty, well what a plonker he was last night.Caught her sleeping in the office and offered to bring her a camp bed in!
Mind you, when he left the office,he was wondering if he’d missed a trick, yes Martin, you could have been hangin’ out of that piece last night!
You’d better move over!
