I’m off round my bosses for a shower later.
its a lot better than Jeremy Kyle…
What a load of crap. Don’t think this will do us drivers any justice at all.
Taking a truck on a spin and not delivering there loads etc. I don’t think so.
And fuel at the price it is as well, I don’t think we would have a job at all if we did that.
Rant over, don’t think ill be watching again.
Are the BBC really that desperate that they think this is in any way a drama, comedy or whatever?
gazsa401:
hitch:
i think its got legs myself
it is a comedy after allThe beginning it said BBC Original British drama I think it’s another cheap unrealistic view of road haulage and give outsiders a incorrect view of the industry
Totally agree with you mate I stuck it to the bitter end, never again, rubbish

PEAKY BLINDERS NOW THATS QAULITY DRAMA
Both Truckers (BBC 1) and Breathless (ITV 1) were heavily promoted in the lead-up to the opening episodes and as my hubbie says ‘When a programme gets so much publicity, you can guarantee it’s going to be a load of rubbish’. I wanted to watch both Truckers and, as a nurse in the 1960’s, Breathless, unfortunately both on at same time. Started off with Truckers and kept zapping between the two, and to be honest was embarrassed by both programmes. Totally unrealistic in both cases. It seems hubbie was right, as usual. Having said that it was the first episode so may give Truckers a second chance next week.

PEAKY BLINDERS NOW THATS QAULITY DRAMA
It realy is one of the best dramas in last few years
“Hurry up will you, I’m supposed to be tramping tomorrow”
Just relaxed in bath and watched truckers. Well I enjoyed it took it for what it is light Hearted fun. A lot of hidden Mickey taking in it as well of us boys and girls ,lighten up people if it was just like work why would we watch it , loving the shagging the letterbox bit and the prossy scene and as for the controller in office yes we’ve all met him
I watched it, not because I drive but because I wanted a bit of light entertainment. It was not the greatest by a long way but I laughed out loud a couple of times so what the hell.
Now today, I was at home ripping out the old kitchen ready to fit a new one and so had Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 playing in the background. Anyone who tuned in will have listened to the lady who rang in on the ‘heat or eat’ debate. Now that poor woman put a lot of things in perspective for me, I bet she isn’t sat at a computer moaning about watching the program Truckers like some of you lot. You have a choice, turn over or turn off but whatever you do, get a life.
its not about how to be a good trucker
its about the foibles of humankind
just watched citizen khan
now we now there all terrorist down the mosque and not like the bloke portrayed
Can’t believe he didn’t give the prostitute a good seeing to! Silly man!
The accents are pretty annoying, eye candy is good though, especially that Sheila from shameless(didn’t catch her name)…:)
Not realistic…but hey, it’s a fictional comedy drama so who cares! I don’t think anybody will look at this and then think that truck drivers are like these characters. I for one have never stood on top of my trailer and got the tackle out (well…not in daylight anyway!)
Quite liked it to, someone say it’s mocking trucking wonder if they used this fourm as research ?
I quite enjoyed it, as did my better half. Must admit I noticed the Scania pass him when he was supposed to be doing 70+mph!
Another couple of observations (when I wasn’t distracted by his son’s ‘mate’ … The Premiums all seem to have a matt finish paint job, wonder why that is? (I guess it’s wrap rather than paint, and the only reason I can think of is so they don’t have to worry about reflections of cameramen/crew.)
Also, Mal’s Premium had a full deflector kit when he was chasing that Corsa, but when he decided to climb up the back of the cab and onto the roof, someone had thoughtfully removed the roof spoiler for him! Probably someone from H&S
You miserable sods.
I thought it was pretty funny.
They could have done a bit more research into termonology. we don’t have restrictors, we have limiters.
Driving a lorry at 75mph, then being overtaken by another lorry? are we all on the wire?
The cast were supposed to have worked hard on their Nottingham accents.
They failed miserably me duck
