Does anyone know of a truck stop with accommodation /Motel near Aberdeen?
or somewhere safe to leave the truck overnight. Many thanks
I used to stay in Laurencekirk(might not be spelt right). Little village half hour or so before you get to Aberdeen. I stayed in a B and B at the end of the main road, they were renovating another one on same road further down. Depending on what size you’re in I’ve left an 18t on the main drag before but was about 5 years ago. Nice folk, good beers and chippy in the middle of the Main Street wasn’t bad.
Could leave your truck I’m stone haven I think it’s called and plenty of pubs there but again was a bed sit we stayed in at someone’s house.
If you are planning on staying at Laurencekirk give Douglas f Mitchell a phone, they might let you park in their yard for a night 
you can park down at the side of the river next to asda at the bottom of the ring road where the width limit on the bridge is.,it says no overnight parking but no one has ever had a ticket that i know of, iv’e parked there about 10 times.

i usually park on the bridge of don ind estate its okay there, its near dyce airport so you get a bit of noise from the helicopters but its not to bad and you wont notice it after a while. theres also the industrial estate at port leithen just on the right as you come into aberdeen, or altens estate follow signs for the harbour and you will come to it a couple of miles after you have turned off the A90. you will find plenty of b&bs round about that area if required.
Remember to bring your thermals ,Aberdeen is a cauld cauld place.Its on the same latitude as Moscow bye the way.
