Truck Stops in Sunderland area?

Looking for somewhere to stay tonight between Hexham & Sunderland…looked on my truck stop map but can’t see anything…

Any ideas anyone?

There’s the Teeside lorry park in Middlesbrough. Park up in Teesport next to the Tesco RDC if you don’t want to pay ouwt plus it’s secure as the port police are on patrol regular. If you don’t mind a knock from the ladies of the night there is a council lorry park sign posted off the A66 in Middlesbrough near the town centre.
Or there’s the lesiure centre car park in Hexham across the road from Tescos where you can park after 6pm I think. Forgot how much it is but you can get a shower in the lesiure centre and the pubs and takeaways are a walk up the hill.

No truck stops, I’d probably park on team valley either round by sainsburys or if you fancy a pint you can park by the wagon team or valley farm pubs at the north end of team valley.

Maybe a bit late now.
Chester le st, underneath the arches, (not bursting into song btw  )
Or the 4 horses pub. Take the Nissan offices turn off, left at lights, gates facing you, turn left and turn back around beside the little air museum. Good meal, good pint.

Park across from Egger at Hexham or around that industrial area, nip over the bridge to the leisure centre for a shower (stick a quid in Rupert the bear) and there’s a 'spoons for some scoff and a fair few takeaways.

Not sure if you can park in the leisure centre, I was there around 1800ish the other week and it was still full with cars and I remember seeing a No HGV sign.

Used to be able to park there I stopped there about 4 times in the past. Only trouble was some local tipper company used to think he could use the car park as his operating centre and park about 5 of his trucks there every night the ■■■■■■ :unamused:
