Heywood Lorry park. Heywood distribution Centre.
Stafford Council run lorry park.
Willenhall Council run lorry park.

i originally posted this in the overnight parking section on this forum, the difference is that now i think the new cafe on the other side of the road is now open…

on the A453 just off the M1 either at junction 23a going north or junction 24 heading south,if you approach from junction 23a follow the signs for the Donnington sevices but go over the roundabout as if you are heading back towards the M1,if you come from junction 24 again follow signs for Donnington services, here you will find 2 good size lay-by’s and a 24hr cafe on the northbound side,if you park on the southbound side you do have to cross the road but there are plans to open a cafe on that side also, the cafe is a very good one with good food at reasonable prices and because it is 24hrs it is a safe place to park up,it is quite dark there because of the close proximity to the airport/runway but you can be assured that your vehicle and load should be safe due to the fact that the cafe is open 24hrs,you can also get there coming from the M42/A42.

Also if you decide you dont want to stay there then donnington services is only round the corner,i know its a motorway services but it is a decent one compared to a lot of them but i dont know what the overnight charge is.

You’re joking, right? Each layby can take maybe 5 artics at a push and they are always full up by 4pm. Imho they should ban overnight parking there as it’s the only half-decent place to get a bite to eat at sensible prices if you do nights and you can never get near the place because of all the overnighter’s blocking the place up.

what’s up with you at the minute alex mate  recently you seem to be

topics at the min - more than what you used to

To be fair alex has got a ■■■■■■■ good point though. There is a whole section of the forum dedicated to parking, probably as people wanted to know of decent places to park, I’m sure you’ll get more info from a whole section of a forum than one thread

there is a whole forum dedicated to overnight parking in fact its called " overnight parking " it gives you much needed info like directions, quailty of food showers and prices to park, whereas members on here on this thread are just giving names off places.

so in fact just for good measure im going to move this thread to the overnight parking forum where it rightfully belongs.

Would all be better if they were placed on a map of the UK, easier than trawling through all the posts.

Anyone volunteering?
