Did he not pay TV Tax?
police found a widescreen television attached to the dashboard of his semi-trailer.
Our trailers don’t have dashboards
I’ve known quite a few drivers who ended up with a T/V in the bottom bunk.
Couple of T/S types too, pre and post-op. A few of them were mounted on the dash too.
remember a few years back a truck was driving over the kingston bridge on the M8 he hit a pot hole and the tv he had just installed above the windscreen came crashing down on top of him causing the driver to lose control and crashing
thin he forgot the rawplugs lol
Looks bigger than 32cm
I remember when the law came in saying no screens should be visible from the driving seat, so what happened with SAT NAVS and now most modern cars have TV available built into the dash. Do they prsecute everyone or just the trucker ?
When I drove team one one accasion we crossed Wyoming with a 2 screen DVD player showing Formula 51, one screen mounted on the dash passenger side and the other actually straped to the middle of the steering wheel, but then … I-80 in Wyoming isn’t exactly notoriously known for having many curves
Cars have TVs in the dash? I presume they’re not on whilst you’re driving or are they just for the passenger? - still potentially distracting though if anything interesting comes on! As for satnavs, it’s up to you whether you pay any attention to them - you shouldn’t be distracted by them and of course they shouldn’t obscure any important part of your vision.
The vehicles that have screens in the console witch are caperble of playing DVDs or TV have to have two interlocks to stop them being used whild driving, one is on the hand brake and the other is normally on the vehicle speed, some also have a neutral interlock aswell and im sure any car driver watching TV while driving will also be prosecuted
Nowt wrong with having a tv on the dash, its legal to look at a rev counter, speedo, fuel gauge etc so watching A fish called wanda should be ok
