Imagine reversing one of these from one side of the road, over the crown, across the gutter and up a driveway.
Recalling my operating a handful of Crane Fruehauf wide spread tandems and many many ( single wheeled 365 tyre equipment) tri axle trailers it was always the N/S pair on the widespread and the N/S front tyre on the tri axles that took the brunt of the wear so our Tyre Fitter was kept busy at time rotating the N/S wheels. We never allowed the N/S tyres to get totally scrubbed off !
