How much should an external transport manager charge, as a retainer, to an operator who has decided to go “dormant”? ie, he is keeping his O-licence but is not operating.
As you can only be named on 4 licences it should be enough to cover what could be earned by putting your name on another licence.
Obviously if you have no intention of going on another licence it’s a different story. I’d personally aim for 40-50% of what you currently charge as it’s money for doing nothing BUT your name is still at risk if he decides to do “a few jobs” without you knowing.
