Hi I recently passed my module 1 and I’m looking for a training school. Does anyone have any recommendations for companies around the Andover area? Also I’m currently a bus driver and wonder what is different about the modual 2 cpc conversion test? And is there any good resources for studying this?
Personally PSTT is the only one I’d recommend fantastic staff and instructors passed class 2 first time and am hoping for same results for class 1 after COVID lockdown lifts
Not wishing to rain on anyone’s recommendations, I know PSTT do free accommodation and have a great setup (driving tests on the site you do your training, nice…) but it’s worth telling OP where PSTT is. OP says he’s in Andover: AA Route Planner makes that 2hr 54mins, 159 miles.

Free accommodation at PSTT as over 70 miles away
Have you checked out the recommended training schools contained within the link in my signature below

That’s a fair point but for me free accommodation and the pass protection swung it for me none of my local schools offered this
Thanks all. One of the ones that was in that recommended list (wttl) is one I had been looking at as I know someone who used them although an employer paid. I did think about PSTT would need to see how my other half would feel about me being away a few days as we only have one car
Another plus 1 for PSTT 400 miles each way for me, and don’t regret any of it the instructors are brilliant, the whole atmosphere is very relaxed, the pass protection, doesn’t half take a lot of worry out and getting used because I’m a numpty and failed, just got to wait for lockdowns to stop so get back for the resit
It’s a fair point, but plenty of folks have travelled twice that.
Office open 9 - 5, Monday to Friday during lockdown 01623 555661.

I’m not knocking the recommendation for PSTT Pete, TBH I considered coming to you guys for my own Class One back in 2019, and part of me wishes I could have done so as I have a major beef (or two!) about the well-known company I did do my training with.
But as a single Dad I can’t stay away overnight and there must be other people with their own constraints, so my point was that the distance was an important factor that should have been mentioned in the initial recommendation.

Perfectly valid point. Residential wont work for everyone. But it’s a great facility that has been welcomed by hundreds of folks and clearly works for many people.
PSTT are good but there are also some exceptional training companies out there all over the UK. I can vouch for WttL. They are one of the best.
Since when did this impartial website become a single advertising board for just one company?

It has not
It just so happens that many on here have recently trained with that company
The sticky for the training tips contains a link to many training companies

It isn’t somebody asks for recommendation, and people have many here have used Pete, and felt that even travelling long distance was worth it, there are many schools that a very good across the country, and many more that should be avoided at all costs so personal recommendation are very usefull
