Trailer on its ribs

trailer on its ribs at southbound slip to m1 from kegworth , anyone know the script what happened , just saw it getting put upright about 11:00 pm

It was one of west transport’s trucks, I went passed at 13:25 and they were handballing the load of biscuits off onto another trailer.
The unit was upright over the barrier, no injuries by the looks of it.

Biscuits mmmmmmm no wonder there is so many in attendance.

as long as nobody was hurt…he must have been doing a fair rate of knots for the trailer to go over the way it did…

They said the road was a bit ‘rocky’.

crackers ?

Bet the local “Foxes” will be feasting tonight then…

Heard the driver was a ginger nut and wasn’t paying attention due to being cream crackered!!

The real answer is, the collar at the bottom of the trailer pin sheared off, the trailer slipped off the unit on the left-hand side knocking the unit sidewards and over the barrier, driver was ok and even helped handball the load back on to the trailer.
As for going at a rate of knots, he had only just pulled away from the traffic lights on the roundabout and as his usual job is on liquid tankers I doubt he was speeding around the corners, in fact he even had two witnesses to back this up.
How do I know all this you may ask ? I was part of the recovery.

bet orchard still wants him sacked :unamused:
