Have you travelled abroad alone before? With all due respect, that statement isn’t one you would want to come out with at the interview. On the R&R tour work you may only pass through Calais, (and it wont always be Calais), once in a few months. I can see the attraction of R&R though. good luck, if you are single then it would be a great job. There are quite a few chaps on here who either have done it or are still involved.

I do it, not the mega tours yet so don’t do long tours. Have done a couple of weeks away. You don’t go through Calaus every day, so don’t worry too much about it. The crew do most of the ■■■■■■■ of the gear, sometimes “Locals” are recruited to do all the hard graft. That’s what they’re paid for. I very rarely lift a finger, I’m mostly paid to drive the truck. I do help occasionally, but a lot of our customers say I get in the way and send me off for the tea! I take a big holdall full of clothes with me, so do laundry when I get home. A lot of truckstops abroad do have laundry rooms in them for a few euro. Give it a bash…You’ll love it! :sunglasses:

Good thinking BV at least show a bit willing but accidentally make a nuisance of yourself, down there for dancing up there for thinking I know…

thank you guys just go to see surgeon on 28th of july then i can start making in enquires.did a lot of euro runs with my dad when i was a kid did mos of europe by the time i was 15 and pass through blos and fregeus the old way before the new roads where built.not bothered about being away at all on my own.only thing i need is a month off in february or round that time for my hols thats all.

wouldn’t think there was much room left in a stage truck for the odd stowaway as there normally packed front to back floor to roof
