Torquay to Frankfurt

truckertang:
Formula 1 card = result ■■?

Think I’d rather be across the seats.

I know they are basic, but they’re not that bad. A bed has got tobebetter than over the seats. There won’t be any facilities there for breakfast, but I’m sure you’ll find a café nearby for Café crène et croissant in the morning.

Formula 1 Hotel are simple efficient - no problem but bad side is some of F1 hotel have no own shower in a room so sharing showers - for a examples six showers in each floors

Breakfast - No no! crap cold contintenal breakfast for silly price so normally F1 hotel location in a quiet clean industrial park so look out for McDonald drive thru nearby

I normally stay there F1 or Etap Hotels but I prefer Etap (Ibis Budget) and has to pay bit extra top like €5-10 for better room and own shower in a room

Sounds a nice little number and a fairly long weekend off also. :sunglasses:

It sounds like it could be done better double manned. I’ve done mid Cornwall to Frankfurt via the south coast in under 21 hours so Torquay should be easy.

It’s a while ago but I think it was just using 9’s
Worst case scenario is one driver uses a 10 going out and the other uses it coming back.

Inselaffe:
In homage to brit pete, I would like to throw THIS ROUTE into the mix.

Slightly longer but cheap diesel and baccy in Lux and less Maut through Germany…

Going via LUX adds an extra 1hr to your journey We used to get a bollocking for going that route, not that it made big difference to where i would get to on my hrs Iwould sooner have my 9hrs off over there than over here especially if i was needing to park up from 11pm to 12pm the next day

From Calais to Frankfurt is a real drag ,I went Gent,Brussels ,Koln, segein ,Frankfurt
There was no traffic hold ups just the French customs or should I say Uk border in France

getting this very sorted but the tunnel is so unpredictable, you can loose hours on the French side,When the Tunnel is quiet its ok but normaly its a 2.5 hour drag, Does any one use the boat still?

when the tunnel is running fine its brilliant but when its stuffed just keep going to dover.

I always think that the tunnel slip on the M20, from there via the train its 1 hr to Calais but keep going to Dover its 2 1/2hr to Calais if your on P&O on DFDS it could be any length of time.

Just had a good trip only one hour from check in to France also same on the return
I timed the train exactly 35mins till the door opens
