3663

How do they get away with it. Surely if they do this to everyone the VOSA would’ve found out or been tipped off about it by now.

The multi drop didnt bother me, but they just dont care about the hours that the drivers work. All they are bothered about is the drops.

an all too familiar story in transport

Sounds bout right keep the customer happy

What are the penalties from VOSA if you get caught running over your driving/working hours ?

Think the worst case would be in front of judge licence gone & or imprisoned also in front of TC

IIRC that would be worst case but there is a list somewhere

I found another thread about 3663 on here last year and everybody was saying how bad they are to work for. I saw them advertising early last year, the money was pretty good, think it was working out of Banbury. But, knowing what I now know I would tell anybody interested to stay well clear, 60 hour weeks but you get paid 48 hours. Wouldnt be as bad if you could finish early some days on a regular basis but that doesnt seem the case

Fair play for giving them a go and at least you got some decent experience out of them

I can remember when they sent me down to ornwall in a 14 toner, on a route i didnt know. I left the depot at 5 and didnt get back untill gone half 8 that night, then they expected me back in at half 5 the following morning. I honestly dont know how the transport manager…who doesnt have an LGV licence can expect that, but youre right, ive got some valuable experience from them.

Should i appeal, kniowing that the Ops manager at the depot will be looking at it. He will obviously back the transport manager up and knowing what i do about the company

15 and half hour day followed by a reduced 9 hour break. Nice. What depot were you based at ?

I would appeal, you have nothing to lose.

You’re right though, expecting that of drivers is stupid. I can’t think of many other professions where such hours are expected. Even less so where the workers are in charge of potentially lethal machinery. The WTD isn’t restrictive enough IMO.

what ?
so you work 5 days and only get paid for 4 ?.. have i read that right ? that cant be legal surely , not a chance anybody is going to get my time for free , not a chance … wtf ?

Once lyou get used to a route its a bit easier, but the drivers ahve said that especially in the summer you can crack out a 14 hr day…madness

With Van driving i use to often get lumbered with 16-18hrs or more  :open_mouth:

Did you get paid for it though, 3663 dont give you overtime unless you work on your rest day / bank holiday

Yep use to always get paid tho if the hours were really excessive I would knock off a few hours as didn’t want the GAFFA moaning not with small family run firm.

Theyv’e got a depot down banbury, its by the DHL Hub, just past it and on the last roundabout.

I used to deliver artic’s of milk in their daily, most of the wagons were parked up at night/early morning (1am).

They run quite a few artics from Banbury Depot, used to do burgers kings and pubs as the trailers had the ad’s on the side

I remember Banbury 3663 quite well :open_mouth: luckily only delivered there a few times and Harlow 3663 seemed a reet farce.
And as for Caldicot 3663 all I remember is one of the Taff’s wanted dropping off at Cardiff’s docks for some action!

Sent my appeal letter off to them so will have to see what happens. If anything itll inconvenince them.

spotted a 3663 lorry today in sheffield by the way .hadnt heard from them till i joined this site

They still do for another 3 years, DHL wanted the work but obviously couldn’t come up with the goods.

Where ya been, living in a cave for the last 15 years or wotever?? Can’t go anywhere in this country without seeing at least 1 an hour

Hope it works out Natsdad, there were a couple of guys at my old depot who couldn’t drive a nail into a bit of wood but are still driving and still smashing 'em up!!

The depot down here employ a bloke to wash the lorries, and do the odd bit of driving here and there. He reversed one lorry into another during his probation and still works there…double standards or maybe my face didnt fit…or maybe it was a christmas job.
