We have just done our first CPC training today, the SAFED on one of them.

i am only there on class 2, cant get any class 1 work at the mo, so just doin what i can. although agency told me as soon as my class 1 is on the DVLA system(they done a LICENCE check and me passing my class 1 still isnt on the system) they are gonna give me some class 1 work.i done similar work with brakes when i lived down south and hated it, but willing to give 3663 a go n see how it goes. gotta get up at 4:30 am, not lookin forward to that after 2 weeks off
Ive been in at 0530 for 2 days this week and the same for the next 2 weeks while im being trained by another driver.

Max hours then. I say the manager should have to work the same hours as the drivers. Then see how long he sends them out for

It sounds like you are getting on well there, & it’s refreshing to see that some people aren’t affraid to work hard and ‘give it ago’ , you should gain a lot of experience there as well & hopefully enjoy yourselves too

I am enjoying it and the experience is invaluable. The hours are long and im knackered when i get home but i suppose its all part of it. Been out twice by myself now. The first day was great but yesterday i got myself stuck in a single track road and after damaging a farmers barn (drainpipe and a few tiles) i managed to reverse the half a mile back to civilisation. I was mortified
Bloody 'ell mate, how did you manage that Where were you trying to find? Most of the places they deliver to are fairly urban, sat nav dropped one did it 
I was trying to find Channings Wood Prison and took a wrong turn, sat nav…how i love them, only thing is ive looked in google earth and you can actually get onto the road and look at the barn that i allegedly hit and the drain pipe is already hanging off.

So you’r haveing a “smashing time” at least the building still stands , don’t forget to take a map as well as your sat nav, your bound to have the odd hicup now & again everyone has good & bad days don’t worry, happy trucking

I fitted granite worktops for a farmer around channings wood/denbury way a couple of years back and he said I damaged his car port and we never did get paid for the job!
The car port was buggered before we got there!
Probably the same guy trying it on again

The work starts to slip out the door from March 2011. Hope all the 3663 lads have read and signed the memo about ‘driving to the law when on the road’ etc etc. Wouldn’t want a professional driver doing something stupid and illegal and ending up in seriously deep do-do would we? Oooopps…to late. Probably a job going at Harlow about now
Think i maybe out of ajob on Tuesday. The other lad that started with me was let go last week and ive had my “its your final review time” letter.
I tried to talk to the Transport Manager and told him i didnt want to be working till tuesday, if at the end of the day he is going to get rid of me, but he said he hadnt looked at mine yet and couldnt comment…liar
Any suggestions
