How to turn speed cams off for france only
turning the off wont help, the fact they are on there counts (working or not).
best be is 2 cards one with one without. 
If you want to turn off the French speed cameras permanently your best bet would be to remove them from the map folder.
Connect the device to your computer and navigate to the map folder, look for the files named bellow and copy paste them to a location on your computer in case you ever want them again, then delete them from the map folder.
