TomTom Truck app

Anyone tried this new tomtom large vehicle app yet? I can’t find the price as I don’t use the google store.
anyone able to see the prices care to add it here please ?

The app is free and comes with a 7 day free trial.

It costs £3.99 a month in subscription after that

OR

£19.99 for a year

OR

£29.99 for a family deal where up to five people can use it

Edit: appears that’s just for a car :unamused:

When I used a app Co-pilot was the best

Prob still is.

About time they released a truck version of the app…will continue to use my 6250 until it can no longer get updates then switch to this instead of buying a new tomtom :exclamation:

If you’ve got a TomTom professional, wifi, you can use the TomTom go app for free. It allows you to plan a route and send it to you TomTom.

Had a deal off TOMTOM for 20 percent off with a case and some power thing and some sticky pads on 7 inch expert
This app is not for me after seeing the prices.

Thank you

I thin that’s the TomTom MyDrive App. That’s what I have on my phone to plan routes and send to my TT6000. I think the TT Go App is a completely different animal.

The truck app is on special offer for £49.99, regular price is £99 per year.

I found it good on local but it would not find addresses further away, for example I tryed to go from Manchester to Magna Park Lutterworth, it could not find the address, or even post code, I tryed to use it through three words but it routed me to an address in Warrington.

I found Copilot to be good, but at £89 per year it still expensive.

TomTom solution for failing to find addresses

Had same issue until realised you need to download all of the UK maps, go into settings / Maps / download / Europe/ England and then download all 3 zones and it finds most addresses, by postcode.

TomTom app is good if just listening to instructions, or visually seeing the road to follow, because the font size is stupid small no matter what settings are set, for either the device or app… still use garmin with the tomtom for this reason, as like Garmins ‘turns’ option on, so can just see whats ahead, plus just look at road name or number to follow that’s LARGE TEXT, rather than just 2nd turn or third junction, think it helps learn road networks better,

Asking some drivers now what road they use to get to a location, gets a response of “not sure mate I just follow the satnav instructions” lol… if gps was ever to fail think laybys and services would be full of lost truck drivers unable to get home…
