hello ladies and gents… iv just tried to update my tomtom but totally messed it up and had to restore it with the backup. i want to put all the new maps on an sd card but dunno how to do it and wondering if anyone can help… if you could even do this for me id be grateful and would send you the sd card and a self addressed envelope so u can post it back to me thanks.
Not that simple, you can put maps and navcore onto card but need the patching software to patch the map to your unit,
which tomtom do you have.

Make a backup using windows not tomtom home then goto
navitotal.com all you need is there in the tomtom part of the forum
Be careful updating TOM TOM. Every one I ever bought, crashed after updating. Never again!
Though I did find my old one in a cupboard that didn’t work. Rang TOM TOM helpline, and she sent me brand new FULL Euro maps (latest addition) Free of charge, which now works a treat (And is for sale by the way! 
) So don’t do anything unless you are not sure.
