Why would you want to fork out that if you already have the same software on your tomtom? The only difference between the 7000 and my 520 with the truck software is that I do not have the HD traffic, but I have found out that an HD traffic accessory will be available soon easydevices.co.uk/pp/Dedicat … EIVER.html Also I am still using version 8 navcore as I dont think there is a navcore 9 available yet

the new navcore from tt9000 is available but i’ve found it slows my TT720 down too much. i’m thinking i’ll never be able to upgrade my satnav from how it is now

Just had this reply from another forum, i asked
Is there a navcore 9 and truck map that will work together on a 520?

Yes there is. Navcore 9.001 and 9.004 with the old 815 truckmap. The new truckmap doesn,t work with navcore 9. This navcore seems not able to read the truckdata from that map.

Might have a go on my 520 later, should work on the 720 as well

Be interested to hear your opinions on this?

Is the basic unit based on the new 550/750/950?

mate i’d like to now how you get on with go 7000 be looking at 1 myself and also a snooper truckmate , reading up on both , neither seem to have that good of a reviews . on one review about the tom tom it said most roads are mapped the rest the driver can add as he drives along which seems crazy going off the price.

why pay out all that dosh. a tomtom go with the truck card in does same thing but cost alot less/ mine hasnt let me down yet.

does it have all the brigde and narrow roads on mate , hgv salutions sell a go530 pre loaded for about £350.

That hgv solutions version (afaik) does not create a route avoiding the bridges etc, it just shows the POIs on the map. The tomtom truck actually creates a route avoiding the bridges etc based on the size of your vehicle.

yep low bridges/narrow treets/weight limits/ some unsuitable for truck stuff/and a shed load of other stuff and as said it creates a route around 99% of these, its not got me into trouble yet   then again i do use a paper map with bridge heights to double check :unamused:

i was in whitwood truckstop today they are selling tt7000 or only £437 i might ask round if anyone wants to buy my tt720 with the truck already installed!

Navcore 8.390.1907 For Go7000, go520/720/920, Go530/730/930 & TRUCK

plus easyusetools is what you need

so that’s the brand new truck map?

where can i buy it just on a card tp put in another machine?

its not that simple ,you put navcore and map on a 4 gb card then use easytools to insert tomtom id number the map also needs to be patched then use another part of easytool to make the map work in that tomtom (thats the basic idea)

Hi just some feedback on TT Go7000 Truck.
Had it a week now and i am impressed. Only downside is its based on the TT Go 730 so its the old shape unit. ran it for couple of days beside my old(over 5yrs old now) TT Go700 and when truck mode is chosen its slower but its programmed to find optimum route for the vehicle chosen and not just avoiding restrictions. Not alot i can add really apart from maybe wait for price to come down as not worth what i paid but then over 5yrs ago i paid £550 for my TT700 as they had only just come out.
One nice thing is though driving up the A1(m) at ferrybridge (amongst other roads) and not driving through a field lol as never updated maps on old unit!!!
