If you want lay by poi’s then snooper is worth a look.
But in reality, the tomtom is amazing. To find a lay by you simply pick an appropriate road and drive down it. All of them have fuel POI’s you can download.
You can get 3rd party layby, Motorway services, truckstop and even the all important McD’s POIs on the TomToms, you just download them and then add them via MyDrive.
Plus it has the best and most accurate live traffic of all satnav systems, what’s to think about?

Thanks Reef - did not know that. I’ll be downloading as soon as I get home!
The number of times I’ve had to google on my phone for a maccers is awful. As is driving down the road seeing services and hoping it’s got a board showing a maccers! All the worst is them not having the boards showing what the services have and seeing the golden arches after I drive past it!

Thanks for all the advice. Halfords gave a decent deal on the 6200 at the mo. It’s still loads of money but most importantly is knowing from people who use it for real life say it’s good which is what I want to know. Yes the old atlas will always be there but can’t see anything wrong with a combination of old and new. As planners constantly call you to push you to the limits, in response to their daft request a fast location lookup on satnav combined with live traffic then “eff off that’s not possible” means you might not have to night out. Worth a few squid investment.

Directions written on a ■■■ packet and a crystal ball for traffic is what you need according to the dinosaurs on here mate
Just ordered a tt 6200 after years of snooper usage.Like to know if there’s anyone here had long term snooper use then swapped to tom tom?Are there fundamental/subtle differences twix the two devices aside maybe from the live updates, which is tbh the clincher to me.
