Just a few questions if anyone can help me

the 520/620 is £299 and the 6250 is £389
I can’t really see any difference in the 2 models

what about traffic updates , about congestion and road closures and re routing , and do you have to keep touching it while you are driving
All there as extras bud. Look it up on App Store. No need to keep touching

The difference appears to be that the 6200 and 6250 have traffic via a built-in SIM, while the 620 relies on your phone for traffic data. Not sure if that means you get an extra phone bill if you use the built-in SIM, since it obviously connects to a mobile network by itself.

I wonder if it eats up much of your mobile phone data then
As far as data use goes I don’t think it’s lots, but does update every couple of minutes. I use a 610 in the van and have a 500 as backup .
Just checked and Tomtom quote 7mb per month for 1 hour a day journey so x by 10 would still only be 70mb.
I use Igo as well. I also have the Mapfactor app and one called Genius maps that’s pretty good all have HGV settings. Igo and genius both have live traffic. Rather than use my phone I bought a tablet off eBay actually it’s called a Phablet (stupid name I know) I got an absolute belter made by Lenovo it’s basically a giant phone. I chucked a Pay as you go SIM in it and top it up as and when.
There you go navigation, email, instant messaging Viber WhatsApp, Google maps, Street view all your social media and news apps if you’ve nothing to do, and it makes phone calls. With the screen bracket case and gorilla glass 250 quid all off eBay. If your not bothered for live traffic you can do it for half that.

I use a TomTom start 25 (or 25 start) and listen to the radio. Map updates free forever it costs about £70ish. I usually know where I’m going but use it mainly for destination time & distance etc. It’s just an aid and must be used with a bridge map for strange places although I have put bridge heights on it and can route to avoid.
ok these are the new models and prices , all update through WiFi and have lifetime map updates
Go Pro 6250 , 6 inches ,lifetime traffic with built in sim (no data charges), £389
Go Pro 6200 , 6 inches , 1 year traffic updates , then you have to pay annually ,£349
Go Pro 620 , 6 inches , lifetime traffic using you phone sim card for data ,£299
Go Pro 520 , 5 inches , lifetime traffic using your phone sim card for data , £259
Right then , good news , I phoned up tomtom , and got the 25% discount , on the 520 , plus he threw in a free protective case worth £25 , So just purchased it for a total of £195
Its a brilliant bargain , you just give the nice man your tomtom account details and he emails you a link with the discount to purchase yourself online.
yeah yeah i know , paper map a to z books are better , but each to their own,
I’ve bought this mainly for the live traffic updates , It doesn’t use much of your phones data , but ive got all i can eat anyway
yeah yeah i know , google maps is better , well what ever floats your boat i say
