Is there a toll collect terminal poi for Tom Tom anywhere
Have the book but I’m sure a poi would be very handy.

Sorry not sure about tomtom but Ive got the site bookmarked on my tablet/smartphone. Locate your nearest station then paste into navigation…works for me…

No toll collect poi on mine, But they are everywhere, only ever not found one before the autobahn and that was from leaving a small village, i just got one at the next services and enterered the start point from where i joined.
still a pain in the arse though.
there are now quiet a few services on the autobahns that dont have the toll collect 1st one out of Dortmond towards Kassel on the A4 being one as i found out the hard way
There’s one on the tomtom home poi’s, search for toll collect or maut, they’re the ones I’ve got.
why don’t you order an toll collect atlas, just fill in the details and one turns up in the post

I did do tnt and have to say it came within days for free,I use the book but you loss a lot of time trying to get to them ,I was in a place northwest if gottigen last week ,right in the sticks and the nearest toll collect was an hour away.the book is great but a poi would be better or better again get the box fitted.

Is it ok to go to services and pay as long as you pay from point of entry?i thought you had to stay of the motorway until you have your tax,what if you entered somewhere and between the junction where you entered and the next services there was a gantry and it clocked you?

You’re correct, strictly speaking, Deeireland. However there is a bit of leeway, not much, but a bit. Gantries are fairly few and far between, so are the BAG lads, so you’d have to be fairly unlucky to get caught by one or the other. Also, gantries tend to be after service areas rather than just before them, to give you the chance to get your MAUT first. Pass a Toll Collect point, then a gantry, without MAUT, you’re asking for trouble.

You are right, But they are pretty lenient, They keep records and know if you’ve been pulled before, If you’re honest with them they will help you out. Tell them it’s your first time in Germany when they know it isn’t, Then expect a fine of about 350 euros.
The Belgiums are getting a bit like that with the record keeping, I was once pulled for a standard check (tacho, weight, cmr, etc), to be greeted with happy birthday. And i couldn’t remember ever being pulled there before. 
We had a driver done twice for going on the motorway without buying tax first. The first time the boss paid him back but the second time he understandingly said tough he should of learnt the first time. The second time he got pulled into the first services that he had every intention of buying his tax from. I guess they had seen from records he had not long been done so didn’t give him any leeway. They told him you must buy before getting on motorway.

By the way I’ve been using the Tom Tom poi for a while now and have to say its great,only thing is you could land at a service station and have to double park ,but does the job would recommend it!

What happens if you have bought your tax for a certain route,then you are diverted because of an accident which happened me last week .whats the best thing to do and whats the consequences?

I have cancelled before, can’t remember how I did it but it was easy. You do get a refund minus a fee. Don’t know how quick the rebate is returned tho.

I was diverted for about 50km once, heading south on the a1 it was closed, and the diversion was a44-a3, so plenty of gantries to driver under. was pulled by the bag for a maut check couple of months after that, not a word was said.

my experience is exactly the opposite, always see the gantries just before the services, but as streetview is viewed as the spawn of satan in ze fatherland, can’t show any proof…
I think you will find most if not all gantries are just before a services or parking area in Germany I’m stuck here now booked my maut to the NL border but delayed loading in moers Germany so once loaded drive around like a headless chicken to find one ( the office won’t do it on line)
To cancel is easy just put the little card in and follow the instructions if it don’t exept the card u can do it on the number on the card . Both the 1st 2 out of Dortmund have the machine am hearstrang and soest on the 44 both in the restaurant but they shut at 2100. And not all shell stations have the tax
