Toasters for the truck

Never seen anything about this but has anyone ever managed to use a domestic toasting machine in their trucks? I would have thought it possible with the right invertor but am keen to hear from any pioneers in this field.Any advice gratefully appreciated?

I’ve got one, it can be done with an inverter but buy a toaster at the cheaper end of the range because the wattage rating will be lower.

I had a normal toaster and microwave used them no problem. Did have a big inverter though

how big?

I’ve got a 2000w inverter and I run a microwave oven, an electric kettle and a toaster off of it (only one at a time though).

Many thanks there H,kind of makes sense to have one, strange how the the products for trucks don’t stock them, would’ve thought it would be a good seller.Time to upgrade 250v invertor to 500 I guess.

A 500w inverter won’t be enough, toasters draw between 800 and 1100 watts.

Yeah I’ve also have a toaster and microwave and run them both off a 1000 inverter ok, just make sure they are hard wired and all should be good. £7 tesco toaster if that helps.

i use the grill on my cooker.
