Not sure who the fall out was with.

My uncle David Turton drove for Elliott and there was Walter too. The only other guy I knew who regularly ran out of there was Tony but forget his last name.

Nmp

i was down at Wesmore’s recently, and in the foyer there is a glorious photo of me,back in the day
Wesmore packed in the lorries a few years ago now (i was Phil’s last driver),but still operating as a car repairs/MOT centre.

Hi Guys, just come across the site and am enjoying all these tipper photos…well done Bonkey!

Does anybody have any photos of the motors working out of Redland’s Mount Sorrell pit.
I remember fleets such as Kinch Bulk Haulage, Selby Garage, RC Tucker, BC Chapman,Alan Morrell, Gerald Smith,Wesmore,EE Spencer,JT Newbold etc.

Those were the days when your tipper didn’t have to be painted white.!!

C’mon guys, surely somebody has something or other to add. There were and are a huge number of motors working out of this pit.

Any Derek Wheatley Fodens, David Cooper ERFs?

Or, lets throw it open and have some from Bardon Hill at Coalville or ARC, as was, at Shepshed.

theres a few that Bonkey put on under “insulated tippers” that are Bardon quarries…also my Dad worked at ARC whitwick or whitwick granite until 1977 I would love to get my hands on some pictures of their lorries. My cousin is an owner operator at bardon to this day
