Tipper trouble

Saw this earlier in the week. Dont think it will ever go on the road again :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Apparently the ram snapped as the body was going up.

Amazingly it drove off tho!

oh dear ! nice twsited chassis tho !! the wagon isnt even worth repairing

looks like runcorn docks to me.

Thats the excuse I made when mine went over !!
They snap as they are going over or a too greater lean can cause them to snap.

bit of an ironic visual metaphor, for the fate of ERF.

Deep thinking…and rather a poignant sentiment if you don’t mind me saying.

sounds right it being a ram…

i’ve seen plenty artics going over tipping dust, but its unusual to see an 8 legger go over especially in a warehouse :open_mouth:

new style side tipper, gets the load off a lot quicker.

best thing to do with tipping,
give it up.i done it for years.dirt and dust…
never again and of course the risk of rams snapping and shovel drivers putting the loads on to one side…never again if i can help it.
i love the back door fridge job and the nice clean loading bay.

I couldn’t agree more. I crushed my thumb in the tailgate of one of the tippers I drive a couple of weeks ago, done damage to the bone (crushed the bone, looks like a squashed pea in the xrays), been told probably going to be off work for another 6 weeks or more. I would give them up altogether but I like the other parts of the job that I have to do and the money isn’t to bad for this part of the country
